Tough Week

Dear Jordy-Bug,

Mommy and Daddy are having a rough time this week, sweet girl. With the death of baby Barrett and your 3-Month Angelversary, we have a lot on our minds and hearts. Several times this week we have lain in bed at night looking at your beautiful face in photos. We are so very thankful that we have these photos to look at to help us remember the two weeks during which you blessed us with your presence. We are still in awe that we made such a gorgeous little girl.

Your Angelversary yesterday started out rocky for Mommy. Luckily, my good friend Donna came over and got me out of the house. Fitz joined us for a while, then Daddy and Matt (Donna's hubby) caught up with us for dinner. We talked all about you! They are such good friends; I'm glad that you got to meet Fitz, but it makes me sad that you never met Donna or Matt. Some day...

While I was hanging out with Donna and Fitz, Daddy was at football practice and he was pretty distracted because he misses you SO much. He was running backwards to show the players where to go during a drill, and ended up tripping on a bin of practice jerseys and falling backward. When he tried to brace himself, he jammed his left shoulder, elbow, and both wrists. He can still barely lift his left arm; even using the blinker in his truck was nearly impossible yesterday. His emotional pain is now coupled with pretty severe physical pain. So, please make sure you whisper into God's ear and ask him for healing for Daddy...in more ways than one.

Mommy is starting to cry again, so I guess that's enough for today, Bug. Know that we love and miss you more than we can ever express. Go on and play with your heavenly friends now...let Barrett know that he is loved and missed too.

Love,

On March 14, 2012, I gave birth to Jordyn, the most beautiful baby girl ever. During delivery, however, she was deprived of oxygen. We lived with her in the NICU for two weeks, loving her, holding her, reading to her, singing to her, bathing her, changing her diapers, styling her full head of dark brown hair, praying over her, and sharing her with friends and family, until she went home to Jesus on March 28, 2012. These are my love letters to Jordyn Tyse-Dallas "TD" Sander; our little Jordy-Bug.
